Questions worth answering up front

What counts as a "whale alert"?

Any decoded on-chain move on a wallet you watch: ERC-20 transfers, swaps on major DEXes (Uniswap v3 at launch), large ETH transfers, withdrawals from exchanges. We filter noise (dust transfers, failed txs) and only summarise events with material USD value.

Which chains are supported?

Ethereum mainnet and Base at launch. Architecture is multi-chain by design (CAIP-2 identifiers everywhere), so Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, and others are on the post-launch roadmap.

Do I need to connect my wallet?

No. You can sign up with Telegram, Google, or an email magic link — same access, same alerts, same plan tiers. Connecting a wallet is optional and unlocks future on-chain features (ZK proof-of-balance, USDC payouts).

Can the app access my crypto if I connect a wallet?

No. Wallet sign-in uses Sign-In With Ethereum (EIP-4361) — a one-time signature, no spend permission, no transaction-signing capability. We can read your address (which is already public on-chain), nothing else. We never see your private key.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Manage your subscription from /app/billing — it opens the Polar billing portal where you can cancel, update card, or change plan. No commitments, no cancel fees. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the billing period.

What's the ZK proof-of-balance thing on the roadmap?

Post-launch feature: instead of paying $19/mo, you'd be able to unlock Pro by proving (with a zero-knowledge proof) that a wallet you control holds a threshold amount of a specific token — without revealing the wallet or the exact balance. Built on Noir. Stretch goal for the post-MVP sprint.
